Our Ambassadors

As part of the mission of the Scottish Tech Army to act as a hub for the development of the Tech for Good Ecosystem in Scotland, we have recruited our Tech for Good Ambassadors, a highly experienced and influential group of representatives from the sectors that have a role to play in stimulating and delivering tech for good projects. Our ambassadors have been recruited with the following remit:

1.     Aggregate

  • Advise the Scottish Tech Army on sector-specific tech for good activities

  • Help to recruit mentors, advisors and volunteers from the sector

  • Introduce relevant organisations from the sector

  • Identify tech for good collaboration opportunities in the sector

2.     Amplify

  • Raise awareness of the Scottish Tech Army in the sector in the context of tech for good initiatives

  • Represent the interests of the Scottish Tech Army in sector forums and discussions

  • Share information about the work of the Scottish Tech Army through active promotion in the sector

  • Encourage adoption of solutions developed by the Scottish Tech Army as appropriate to the sector

3.     Augment

  • Foster and support the development of the Tech for Good ecosystem in Scotland and internationally

  • Create and develop cross-sector collaboration on Tech for Good initiatives and projects

  • Attract active participation from individuals and organisations in the sector

  • Raise awareness amongst organisations that can benefit from Tech for Good initiatives

He was responsible for the One Microsoft initiative with a remit for tying together all the assets of Microsoft to deliver an end to end story. At Accenture, he was the partner globally responsible for the software business of the Digital Marketing Platform Group in Accenture Interactive. Peter founded Forrit in 2013, is a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde and in 2022 was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Fiona Stewart-Knight, Assistant Vice Principal of Business Partnerships and Director of the Institute for University to Business Education at Glasgow Caledonian University represents the education sector.
