The Scottish Tech Army Story

Formed in 2020 during the first UK lockdown, The Scottish Tech Army was born out of a desire to provide tech support to third sector organisations having to pivot to operating online.

Our mission

Since 2020 our remit has widened, but our mission remains the same: to mobilise the UK’s tech community, applying its talents, creativity and commitment to achieve rapid delivery of technology solutions to some of the most important problems we face as a nation.

The Tech for Good Alliance

Launched in 2022, the Tech for Good Alliance complements the work of our individual volunteers by partnering with private sector companies, helping them make the most of their CSR and volunteering initiatives. Through the Alliance, tech companies across the UK can use their skills and volunteering hours to create real social impact. Visit the Tech For Good Alliance website for more information.
